Thanks to community input at the Multi-Day Design Workshop, the Town has developed three Design Alternatives for conceptual land use of The Parcel! The three alternatives show different development scenarios for an affordable housing neighborhood on The Parcel, balancing community objectives and tradeoffs that have been communicated throughout a variety of outreach opportunities.
Recognizing that it takes a community to build a community, the Plan The Parcel process has included extensive outreach and local participation to ensure development of a plan that is grounded in community ownership and support. While all public comments received during the planning process are taken into consideration, it is important to note that community outreach is primarily intended to provide an overall picture of the community’s priorities, and does not guarantee that every piece of feedback received from the public will be incorporated into the final plan. As with any major development initiative, certain tradeoffs are necessary for The Parcel development to be successful.
By providing your feedback in this survey, you are helping decision-makers consider these tradeoffs and alternatives in an informed manner, thereby ensuring that the community’s social, environmental, and economic values and priorities are reflected in the final plan.
Participation is voluntary and confidential. Survey results will be reported collectively, and no comment will be attributed to any one person.
